907 Star Wars - Event Request

* Please note that we prefer requests be made at a minimum about 2-3 weeks prior to your event, ideally 6-8 weeks for maximum volunteer participation. However, we may be able to support short notice events on a case by case basis.

We absolutely would love the opportunity to partner with you for your event. We will post your event on the discussion forum to start gathering interest and determining character availability, this will include invitations to the Alaskan affiliated 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, Galactic Academy (if appropriate), and the Droid Builders. If you could please answer the additional following questions, it will allow us to better coordinate volunteers for this event.

Event Coordinations

** Is there a (secure) location (e.g. classroom, storage room, office, enclosed tent) where our volunteers can change into their costumes and store their costume totes/bins/clothes? No bathrooms, please. This area would also be useful for them to take breaks in.
* Our volunteers typically travel with something similar to a 2'x 2'x 3' wheeled Huskey case, which contains personal effects and their costumes.

* Many of our costumes are very restritive and warm, and our members can loose up to 10lbs in water weight during an event. Other appreciated gestures could include food, parking validation, etc.

While we do not charge a fee for appearances (public or private), we enthusiastically welcome donations made to a charitable organization in the name of the 907 Star Wars Consortium or one of the Alaskan affiliated 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, Galactic Academy, and the Droid Builders.

As our organization consists entirely of volunteers, many of whom have full time jobs, there is the possibility we may not be able to satisfy your event request because of the date, time, and location of the event or the specific costume types which you have requested. If we are unable to secure sufficient volunteers with the specific costumes prior to the date of the event, we will notify you to officially decline the event invitation.

If we are able to satisfy the event request, the duration of our appearance may vary depending on our volunteer’s schedule and availability.

Note: During our appearance, our volunteer members shall not be asked to promote any private companies (e.g., holding banners, handing out flyers) or be affiliated with any religious or political events. Any promotional material about this event which announces or promotes our appearance shall be submitted to 907starwarsPR@gmail.com for our review and approval prior to its release.

The 907 Star Wars Consortium is made up of numerous volunteer organizations and none of them accept payment for appearances. If you would like to make a donation in lieu of payment, please see our Charity page for more information.

Events which directly or indirectly benefit the community and/or charity organizations generally receive a better chance of a 907 Star Wars Consortium appearance than private functions (e.g., birthday parties, weddings).

Anyone submitting a request through this form should be someone who has authority of the event and should be over 18 years of age.

Also of note, at the request of Lucasfilm, LTD. it is the policy of our organization to refrain from any lightsaber dueling, mock fighting or demonstrations between the characters and the public and amongst the characters in a public setting where injuries could occur.
